from the moment twins are conceived their lives are a negotiation of space. we are hannah and amy, individual yet always intertwined. having moved through our teens and into our 20's, the time when you begin to define who you are, it is interesting to explore the impact of being a twin upon our individual persons, relationships and life in general.

this is a work in progress. an exploration of our negotiation.

twins spend most of their life negotiating space somehow. whether it be physical space within the womb, or the emotional space between them, life is a continuous and shifting evaluation of spaces. the complexity of relationships between twins make this negotiation a discovery, while at the same time this discovery becomes part of everyday life, often meaning this process goes unnoticed.

to the outside world twins are fascinating subjects - there are many questions and ‘mysteries’ to be discovered.

negotiationofspace is the exploration of the nature of twins from the inside out. it is a discovery, a journey that evolves with us. and it is only just beginning.

for us the journey to discover ourselves, and those who share our type of space, is just as fascinating to us as to others who question us. although focusing on twins negotiationofspace is relevant for those exploring identity, life roles, family and interpersonal relationships.
